Works Great for everyday use and handling September 8, 2010 Ace123 I purchased this case about 3 months ago and it works great for everyday use. The strap makes is great to carry it around instead of holding it like a book all the time. Only down fall is you it is not great for vertical standalone viewing but you just hold Ipad instead no big deal. The horizontal prop-up is very easy to use and build right into the case.
Case Study September 8, 2010 J-DIL I received this yesterday, after several days of no protection for my iPAD. The iPAD fit snugly in the case and the stand adjusts to several positions, or you can hold it like reading a book. It appears to be well-made, though I've only had it one day. This is a very cost-effective solution, much cheaper than the case from Best Buy or Apple.
A good case for the cost. September 1, 2010 Michael I prefer to use my iPad in Landscape mode so this case was a good choice for me. I can't use it with the keyboard/dock but that's not a problem with the case itself but rather how Apple made the dock. I'd recommend getting the Bluetooth keyboard for anyone planning to get an iPad case. Overall it's been a sturdy case and the multiple viewing angles are great. It also provides a good angle for on-screen typing by simply dropping the bottom edge down past the bumpers.
There are only two things I don't like about the case. Sometimes I have to bend the base a bit to get the bumpers to keep the edge from sliding past (only a problem with the last set). The other thing I wish was a bit different is the button clasp - it's kind of annoying at times because it just sits there pointing up at the bottom of the case when I have it opened. However, neither of these are really a major issue, especially considering the price.
It might not provide enough protection on the edges for some people but most of the time mine is in a backpack or up on my desk so that's not really a concern for me.
Great case but for one small flaw. September 1, 2010 James T. Young (Jersey City, NJ) I bought this case over the slimmer, simpler one provided by Apple due solely to the community ratings and reviews that I perused here on Amazon before making the purchase. I just got it and, thus far, it's as advertised. I dig the angles, it feels a lot more durable than the Apple version and using the strap while holding it provides an unexpected level of confidence in regards to my fears that I'll drop the thing.
The one big flaw I find with it is the clasp. When setting the iPad up at any of the provided angles, the clasp is curled over and feels very much in the way of viewing from an aesthetic perspective and certainly in the way for typing from a logistical one. That being said, the strap can be used to keep the case closed as well, so I think I'm just going to cut the clasp off. It's just disappointing that how to deal with it when the iPad is in use wasn't more of a consideration in the initial design of the product.
Great Case August 31, 2010 Kevin (Richardson, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Love this case! Cheap and good quality...and its real leather and not 'like real'. I guesss they used to sell like real but the one I received explicitly says 'real leather'...but either way I dont care :)
